The LotR Kennel

So today, Rhea ( [info]toujours_nigel)  was over at my house for an LotR movie marathon. And as always happens when we are in each other's company, snark was born. Today, it went something like this.

Rhea: *midway through The Two Towers* Aragorn keeps Legolas on a tight leash, doesn't he.

Me: Gimli too.

Rhea: Uh huh. Can you not see fanart of him with a bulldog on a leash on one hand, and a golden retriever on the other?

Me: ....openGoogleplz.

And thus was born the LotR Kennel.

We will not be held responsible for any brainfuck, snarkbackfire, patent disbelief or plain wtf-ing that the following pictures may incur.

Well, I can't say I'm not a little disappointed. Before the images loaded all the way I was fully expecting to see a photoshopped image of Aragorn holding onto a leash with a spiked leather collar and an elf on the other end.

Cute pics though. Frodo looks a lot like my pup Riley. =]

AHH, You included a Papillion! Awesome! Well matched I say. Oddly enough, I work at a boarding kennel and we have had a pair of dogs in called Frodo and Sam. Even weirder, they acted like them too!

i think merry and pip would be jack russell terriers. in fact...i think ALL the hobbits would be terriers. hobbits, like terriers, have the heart of a giant in a teensy little body.:)

i'm sorry, but prissy little yorkies do not count as terriers. terriers are scrappy and muscley and tough.

I expected the Hobbits to be curlies (curly haired) of some sort. And Gimli to have more hair, after all he IS a Dwarf. How about Golumn? There's got to be something out there for our favorite Hobbit-gone-insane.
